“I am deeply grateful for Dr. Z - I don't know what I would have done without her support. She has really helped me to understand my teen daughter, to more effectively identify my underlying feelings, and to communicate clearly while maintaining my boundaries. She does all of this with love, understanding, and a sense of humor. The best!”

education, training/experience, and credentials:
I studied both developmental psychology and Spanish at Saint Mary’s College of CA, where I received my BS and minor in those subjects, respectively. I subsequentially obtained my Doctorate degree from the California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco campus in 2012.
All practicum and training opportunities I accepted were intentionally chosen to provide me with experience working with diversity including but not limited to culture, SES, sexuality, age, clinical presentation, and general needs.
My training experiences have included community agencies, nonprofits, public health agencies, and a residency at Kaiser Permanente in Antioch, CA (a private medical setting).
I have also provided training related to the topics of suicide assessment and prevention, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Supervision, Licensing Process (for doctoral students), and effective documentation strategies.
I provide supervision for pre-doctoral interns, facilitate seminars and didactics for training purposes during their internship year.
some facts about me
